NEW
CLIMBING WALL
We have been praying this past year, that
if it was in line with God’s will, He would open a
door for us to be able to build a Climbing Wall and/or Tower
for CROSSWALK. He has not opened that door, but He’s
opened an even better door. We have discovered a beautiful
Climbing Wall and Tower just 20-minutes from the CROSSWALK
Camp. It is very new and extremely well maintained. The
Wall is over 55-feet high and can accommodate six climbers
at the same time. One side of the wall is a straight vertical
climb. There are three different routes to the top, each
one progressively getting more difficult. The other side
of the wall is even more challenging. It’s built with
several areas you can climb in and out of as you ascend
to the top (see photo to the right). This climb is not for
the faint-hearted. I promise it will challenge you and help
build your self-confidence and grow camp unity all at the
same time.

NEW CLIMBING
TOWER
It is a little
more difficult to describe the Climbing Tower. As you can
see from the picture to the left, it is a very complex piece
of equipment. Like the Wall, the Tower is also over five
stories high and can accommodate up to six people climbing
at the same time. Sometimes you will be doing a relatively
straightforward climb and the next step will require you
to let go of your grip and leap to a free-hanging telephone
pole. Other times, you will have to let go of your safe
grip to grab a cargo net. The possibilities are endless
and very exciting. At the summit of the Tower there is a
Observation Platform which provides a beautiful view. Rest
assured all Climbers are attached at all times (by a rope)
to a trained staff member. You will end your climbing experience
with lifelong memories and a strong desire to share those
memories with your friends and family back home.
